Good luck! I hope you have the time of your life!

Holy shit you're moving to New York!!!!!! Wow. I'm kinda stunned, kinda not, and really, really happy for you!

Watch out, New York! Here comes Brittney!

San Francisco's loss is New York's gain.

Good luck to you, Brittney!

Really proud of you being fearless in making the leap for something ambitious. And happy we'll see you in NYC! :)

San Francisco is going to miss the shit out of you, while New York is already planning celebrations. I wish you all the best in the move and know you will find happiness. Good luck!

good luck Brittney! SF will miss you!

Holy cow! That is awesome news (the moving, not the breaking up--that sucks). Wow. I can't wait to see how this goes for you.

I'd wish you luck - but you don't need it. You're gonna be acers. And I'm gonna save a wish.

post your cash cab experience and good luck.

You are living the dream, girl (except for the heartbreak part, I'm very sorry to hear that). As for the moving to the big city, get on with your bad self.

This is your good karma for being strong and for following your heart. I am so excited for you!! All the best, you're going to have such a blast! I can't wait for the tweets and posts that come from your time in the Big Apple.

You are fantastically awesome! Go!

Congratulations Brittney. Following your heart is always the hardest thing to do but you will never regret it in the long run. You are very brave and it will serve you well. Good luck! You will be missed.

You inspire me. (How many times have I typed that in a blog comment to you?) I saw this coming back when you were here a couple of months ago and talked about it to some of us at the Flying Saucer, and I am thrilled to see it come to fruition for you.

My heart is in my throat for you for more than one reason. I can't wait to read all about it :).

I supported your SF decision, and you know what, I think you'll love NYC as well. You may not realize it, but you are one of the most fearless country mice I know. http://vimeo.com/4296901

You will take from and add to wherever you go. And I'll love visiting you wherever you go.

As long as it's not back to Cheatham County. I already know about there...

I have to tell you, I think this is awesome about your move. I hate working at home and I am so happy for you. You go, girl!

Holy shit! That's a big deal Congratulations on all the grown-up-ery going on up in here. Such a big shift, and very very exciting!

As much as I envied your living in San Francisco, I now get to be jealous that you will have more or less ready access to a proper bagel.

In seriousness, I wish you all the best on this latest installment.

Wow, this post made me smile. I love that.

I've been following your writing for many years, Brittney. From Tennessee, to California, and now to New York City (and by the way, this move doesn't surprise me at all...I can totally picture you living in NYC and LOVING it).

What you said about some people "coming into their own" earlier in life while it takes others longer? I completely relate to that. Go. Do it now.

You remain my hero :)

This is so awesome, Brittney! Thank you for writing this absolutely delicious sentence: "I want to follow my bones to the place they feel they should be."

If you want to have one last co-working date before you leave, I'm there.

Sin miedo! You'll carry your fearlessness with you wherever you go. I'll have to look you up when I'm in New York. xx

Congratulations Brittney! NYC is gonna be great.

NY's not for everyone. I lived there for seven weeks when I took a new job once and it has great things. Great subway systems, restaurants, drycleaners and family markets overy block or so. You can get Hungarian food delivered. Hell, most places don't even have Hungarian food. NYC does. They have every ethnic variety of food imaginable. They'll deliver anything.

What they don't have are lots of green spaces. You'll have to come back home to see dogwoods bloom.

i certainly understand your mixed feelings, Brittney, but i (selfishly) couldn't be happier. good people are always welcome (and needed) here, and i hope i can be of help to you in getting to know the place! every good wish, sd

Aw, the dogwoods.

i am so proud of you. i find myself saying that each time you dare to dream and then live them. i love you with all the love a father can love his daughter. click your heels darothy and follow the yellow brick road to your dreams. love dad

Heh. In the weeks I lived there, the company only paid for me to come home once. It was in late April or early May. When I got home I took a lawn chair into the backyard near a grove of dogwoods and just sat in that chair looking up at the clouds of white blossoms.

I hope it's everything you hope it will be. Bonus: you'll be closer to Nashville!

i'm a bit envious of the path of nashvegas to SF and now my favorite city, NYC.
the very, very best of luck and success to you!!

I am so excited for you!!!! Good luck, and I can't wait to read about your take on NYC!

This is so exciting! I'm so sorry about the bad stuff, though.

I've enjoyed experiencing SF through you and will likewise enjoy the same with NYC.

I just saw this! This is fantastic news. We will have to get coffee once we're both there.

Nine years ago I felt the pull and moved to New York myself. I was there for three years and then moved to San Francisco on a whim. Reading your words I am jealous, because in many ways I really did find myself in New York, "grow up" there, and you are about to do those things and live an experience that can never be recreated. It's going to be scary and spectacular, and I wish you all the luck in the world.

i have felt these pulls, but i am not as brave as you are.

i have missed your presence online a lot since you left Eye on Blogs, and now i will miss you even more. i wish we would have had more than one dinner, but i am hoping to be in NYC in 2011 and i hope i can find you happy there.
